Proxy Information Popup, OBJECTARX? And approach to go from 2D to 3D

Hello,

I received a .dwg file from elsewhere and was asked to render it in 3D, it's a 2D design of some pipes in a house. When I open the file I am greeted with the prompt

The drawing you have opened or referenced contains custom objects created by an unavailable ObjectARX application. You do not need the original application to display proxy representations of objects that were saved in the drawing. However many manufacturers, including Autodesk provide object enablers that alsoallow you to edit these custom objects.

Visit the AutoCAD LTObject Enabler Assistant web page to locate Autodesk object enablers or contact the software publisher about object enablers for other applications.

Note: If your computer has internet access verify that Check Web for Live Enablers is selected in the Options dialog box on the System tab to have AutoCAD LT automatically search the Live Enabler website for the appropriate object enabler.

Missing Application: AeccvBase 100

Product Desc: AutoCAD Civil 3D

Company: Autodesk, Inc.

Total Number of Proxies: 1

WEB Address: www.autodesk.com

Total number of proxies: 1290

Number of Object(no graphics): 1290

...

There are more missing applications listed, all which reference AutoCAD Civil 3D. I'm trying to turn render this design in 3D, so when I try to use the Extrude tool it seems I'm unable to select any objects from the design. I'm guessing this is because I'm missing these object enablers so what I'm seeing is actually just a graphic and not really objects? I can't seem to find an add on for AutoCAD 2016 for AutoCAD Civil 3D(this seems to be another program entirely). Am I approaching this in the right way? Should I be using AutoCAD Civil 3D to render this in 3D?

There is no 3D rendering ability in LT: you are using the wrong program altogether. And there is no 2D to 3D piping ability either.

C3D Object Enabler for LT is here (but it won't let you magically render in 3D) but it will let you see C3D content already in the file https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autocad-civil-3d-...

Thanks a lot for the reply! I seem to have posted in the wrong section lol. Sorry about that. I'm using Autocad 2016, not LT. Possible to get this topic closed or deleted? I'll repost this topic in the right section.
