Problems uploading Images and importing PDF Files into Autocad LT

Hi All, 

I am relatively new to autocad but seem to be running onto an issues where certain PDF files that I try to import into autocad are either all grey or mostly grey (Below are screen grabs from the original PDF and the Autocad File once it is uploaded. 

I am also having a problem trying opening DWG files where it just comes up with the following instead of the file 

I assume both problems are related but I really cant work this out, any tips?

What method/options did you use to import the PDF?

For your last screenshot, the error message is telling you the source file is missing: you probably referenced the image in instead of inserting it fully into your DWG file. You will need to put back the source file on your Desktop and path it correctly.
