problem with stretching - dimensions move

hello, when I am stretching my drawings, some of my dimensions move and do not stay where the nodes were originally place. here is a video i took.

would you please share with us that file ? we need just those dimension lines and some lines around .

All files, not sure if it is a setting issue???

I tried sending it, but it is 11MB and 9MB is the max

That's your email limit most likely.

Either way, you have to come to the website to post files by replying to someone: and the limit is 100MB I believe.

"sending email" is not how you post DWG files here in the forums sadly.

take a copy from your drawing then erase every thing except the part that you show to us in your previous video .  then Purge and Audit your new file to delete all unwanted items . Now you have a small size file that you can share with . 🙂

Your dimensions are associated to the objects you originally dimensioned. So if you stretch the object the dimension will stretch with it.

First at the command line type DIMASSOC and change the value to 1. See this link https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Functi... for more information.

2. At the command line type DIMDISASSOCIATE and then select the dimensions you don't want to move or type ALL to disassociate all dimensions from the objects.

Is there a way to DIMDISASSOCIATE set to 1 prior to starting any drawing? I can apply this setting and it works for the current dimensions, but when I draw new, it reverts back to 2

Open up your template drawing. Change the DIMASSOC setting to 1 in there. 

Save the template file. Now every time you start a new drawing using your template the dimensions will not move.

Show us: share your DWG file here, point inside it for us to replicate your issue.

You can use DDA command to disassociate dimensions from being stretched.
