Problem with SNAPS for MOVE and COPY command

Hello to everybody!

I just downloaded the 2022 version.

I used it for several hours without any problem, then suddenly I started having problems with the SNAP during the MOVE and COPY commands.

If you look at the image attached: each time that I click on MOVE or COPY, I select the objects to MOVE or COPY, then press start, and from that moment the cursor disappears so I am not able to move or copy the object that I selected.

Is there something that I can do?

Thanks,

Anna

Does restarting the program fix your problem?
Did you remember to install the 2022.1.1 update too? It does not install itself sadly.

Thanks for the reply!

I tried restarting and also uninstalling and installing again, but nothing helped.

I downloaded the trial, so I cannot download the update for it.

What can I do? This experience doesn't push me to purchase the software that much.

If it was working fine, then you changed something inadvertently. As such, it should not have any impact on a purchasing decision.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

@theorganizingdesigner We are all end users just like you helping each other out. No  one here is Autodesk or Autodesk Sales. No one here is concerned about your purchasing decisions, you do you 100% of the time as you see fit that is best for you.

Since these issue appeared after a couple of hours, it begs the question what changed with your setup at that same time?

Other things to try in LT2022:

Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022: reverting to DirectX11 may help your PC.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: if still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort. Any better?

I realise this is an old post, but had the same problem today. Eventually realised I had accidentally keyed "SNAP to GRID" on, and the grid spacing was so large that the snaps just disappeared off the visible screen.  Turned off "SNAP to Grid" and problem solved. Hope this helps others.

I had an issue with snapping perpendicular to a plane or line , turning off (snap to)Quadrants solved it
