Problem installing Plant 3D object enabler

I have been trying to install the object enabler for Plant 3D 2018 for my LT 2018 copy, but in the install window the enabler says that it cannot find any installed Autodesk products. Any Suggestions?

according to this page: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/downloads/caas/downloads/content/autodesk-autocad-pla...

This does not apply to Autocad LT 2018

We are using Plant 3D and LT 2018. We Xref the model (only select users get access to the model) into LT, but when I try to bind the xref, I get an error message "At least one of the specified xrefs failed to bind due to a problem with a proxy object.". Is this an enabler issue or something else?

There is no Plant3D Object Enabler for LT2018 if you read the post right above yours: out-of-the-box LT2018 does not read custom content from Plant3D, often referred to as a "proxy Object".

You will need to do the binding in Plant3D instead of LT.

I realize that out of the box, you cannot utilize the object enabler. What I was looking for was a work around for the binding issue. Thanks for your feedback.

Your Plant3D software user will need to "save as autocad" a unique additional file for LT users: that's the workaround. So you will have two versions of that one file, one for LT users (all Plant3D custom objects exploded to lines/arcs) and their version.

May not be a good idea to have two copies of a single DWG file.

We had to do the "Two" drawing work around for some of the drawings, because we needed to edit the drawings outside of Plant3D, and not affect the model. For the issue of binding, we have decided to bind the drawings using the Plant3D software. Thanks for your feedback.
