Hello,
I am a 'learner'. Having made giant strides (I feel), I suddenly find a problem.
Having set my units and drawn an A4 rectangle to contain my drawing, I find when printing, the diagram is extremely small. I started again on another sheet, and the error went to over size.
Having double clicked to check my drawing area, I see the rectangle is the boundary. There isn't (apparently) anything else on the page.
I probably haven't explained myself very well but would be grateful to hear of any possible solutions.
Regards,
David Allen
It would be a lot easier for someone to help you if you will attach your drawing (or at least a stripped down copy of it, that still illustrates the problem).
Thanks.
Thanks for your reply. I did respond earlier but it seems it was to 'noreply'...........hence I have just discovered it.
Please find attached the Drawing.
There are no page setups in either MS or either of the layouts. Difficult to see what the problem is like this.
AutoCAD isn't a program you can just pick up and run with, you really do need to 'Learn' how to use it. That doesn't mean it has to be a classroom setting but a good book or even online tutorials are a must for at least the basics, something like MyCADSite or any one of thousands of Youtube videos.
You cannot just draw a rectangle A4 size in model-space and expect it to print correctly when using default settings, using a 'window' area for the print area would be an improvement on the default 'display' but even then all printers have a margin that they cannot print onto, you should be using a layout to print and have your layout set up to allow for that margin and then use a smaller viewport to display what you want to print using an appropriate scale.
We can see what you are trying to print but what 'size' should it be (is the scale even important)?
