Printing from AutoCAD LT 2016

Hi, I am currently trialling Autodcad LT 2016 as I am looking to move from a very old system - Autocad LT 2006 on XP Pro!  I am having problems getting  my printer to print correctly. It is an HP 430 and I have had to set up using a resident HPGL2 (HP Designjet 755)  driver as advised to spool the prints. Whilst this allows the printer to operate the prints are plotting partly off the page.  The preview shows the correct plot.  I have also tried printing to PDF and then to the printer. However, whilst the PDF preview is correct the plot also is off the page and there are missing lines and detail.  I am printing from layout using a title block.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Kind regards,

Michael Bradbrook

I was going to suggest printing to PDF and then hard printing that to your physical printer if needed.

But I see you're already trying that. So you're saying that the PDF does not appear right either in the PDF viewer? And it does not match the print preview?

Hi, Thanks for your reply.  Yes both preview for plotting direct to printer and to PDF are correct but when sent to printer the plot is off the page and in the case of the PDF some lines are missing.

Show us your DWG file along with your PDF file from it, explain which lines show up and which ones disappear so we can get the full picture.

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Autodesk Community.

Can you please provide your PDF's?

If possible can you share your file and or screen shots?

Have you updated your printer driver? I would suggest trying to load a universal print driver that might help with the issue.
