poor quality lines in black and white PDFs

I never had an idea of AutoCAD DWG to PDF plotter producing drastically differernt quality PDFs. The lines have always been crisp and clear until recently I worked with some A1 and A0 format, the usual black and white line drawings and in the PDFs most of the lines have lost their straight edges, being accompanied by dirty patches, as seen in poor quality JPGs.
In smaller formats the quality is like it used to be. I tried inserting a part of a smaller drawing (A3) into a bigger one (A0) and the very same objects were plotted in awful quality.

I attached screenshot_1 and screenshot_2.

There is nothing different in the other features of page setups (plot style table: monochrome).

When I get the drawings actually plotted on paper from the PDFs, the quality is as poor as in the screen.

I tried to search, but did not find anything similar or that it could be a problem with acrobat reader.

Any idea to this?

Thanks a lot!

What Publish PDF are you using? The image you posted shows a low DPI setting. See the image below and change to HIGH QUALITY PRINT

Thank you. The issue is that both the previous fine and the recent poor quality PDFs were made with the same settings... anyway I will check what you suggest.

Never seen that unless it is a missed setting or selection by the user: show us your work, post your DWG and PDF files for review.

We all plot to PDF all day long and have done so for 20+years now. All of us.

Yes, it really settled the issue! Thank you! But: where do I find these PDF options when publishing a sheet set from sheet set manager?

I have created sheet sets (instead of sheet list. I am publishing sheets from multiple files), and I publish these from Sheet set manager. I attached the screenshot. There are different options there for publishing from those, and the types of PDF options, which can be found in the Publish command you just showed, are not available...! (as far as I could see)

The quality of your PDF matches the quality of your CAD file 100%

When publishing from Sheet set manager, there are no options for PDF quality.

In my Acrobat Reader, the same file looks like the screenshot I am attaching now. Your PDF reader displays the same document differently?

My Adobe Acrobat DC PDF Viewer display settings are as follows, other 3rd party PDF viewers don't try to hide their apps bloatware like Adobe and do a better job at displaying PDF content with finer linework

I applied the same settings. There is no change so far. Maybe after rebooting. Anyway one solution has been found and thank you very much!
