Plotting Help!

Hello,

I'm currently using the AutoCAD LT trial and am having trouble plotting.  I cannot get it to plot to scale, or on the correct size paper.  Even when I choose 18" x 24" it keeps plotting on 22" x 22".  Before I can even get that far though, every time I preview it, it shows it's tiny in the bottom corner, even though I'm choosing 1:1.  Please help!!  Much appreciated.

First question, are you trying to print from Model Space or from a layout?

If the latter, then make sure you run the PAGESETUP command and configure everything, such a printer, page size, scale, plot style, etc. Once you do all that, your "paper" in the layout should be visible and you can see how your border/title block fits on it.

If you are trying to print from Model Space, then please consider printing from a layout.

I could write a WALL of info on this, but this work has already been done dozens of times, just look on Youtube. AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT are the same as far a printing are concerned. Don't worry about "publishing" for now, but once you get the PAGESETUP command down, then your layout is always ready to print or publish.
