plot status will not progress past Regenerating Sheet

I have a set of interior elevations that will not print. All other sheets assembled in the sheet set for the project have no issues. Every time I attempt to plot to PDF any sheet from this specific file, the status of the plot remains at < Regenerating sheet >. I have purged and audited the file, and still I am having no luck printing my layouts.

Don't get too hung up on the line "Regenerating sheet".... because that may not be where it's hanging up.

Consider if there were 10 steps needed to print a sheet, and "Regenerating sheet" was step 5.

Let's say the process does every step and when it gets to step 5 it prints the message "Regenerating sheet" and the completes this step, then it moves on to step 6 (whatever that may be) and locks up....... You're still looking at a message that says "Regenerating sheet", but in reality this was completed.

Back to the issue. Are you using Publish, printing from SSM, or using the PLOT command?

You may have to do some trial and error. Make a copy of the file and work on the copy. Delete the layout, and make a new dummy layout. Does it print OK now?

Go back to the original copy and leave the layout alone but remove the viewports. Does it plot now? Keep working the problem until you find the offending object(s).

Your LT version is...? The OS is...?
Has this ever worked for you?
Or is this the first time to try PUBLISH command?
Or is this a problem with only this one set or file?
Do you have background publishing on? Turn it off, setting is in OPTIONS command's PLOT tab.
