Pasting Excel document into DWF file in AutoCADLT 2026

I used to be able to do this in an older version I had but can't get it to work in my new 2026. It brings the document in really large and the columns are not aligned. I would do copy and paste special. Anyone found a way to do this successfully in 2026?

I have no problems copying Excel columns & rows onto 2026...works just like it used to.

Can you share a sample Excel document that you're having trouble copy & paste special into 2026 along with the dwg?

Not sure if it's 2026 LT issue.

But I selected your Excel sheet & copied:

Then I opened your drawing in full AutoCAD 2026

With layout DWG TEMPLATE 11x17 set as current I executed the Paste Special command which brought up this window and I accepted the default:

This is what now shows in your drawing:

When you open your attached dwg again in 2026 LT, can you see this OLE?

How do you get the Paste Special Command? Under Edit, my options are Paste, Paste Special & Paste to Original Coordinates. I do not see what you did when I open the drawing.

Right after I copied the cells in the Excel sheet I went back to AutoCAD and clicked on Edit menu and this is where I selected Paste Special:

Do you not have this selection on your 2026 LT?

No, I do not. I had it on my older version that was upgraded with 2026.

That command selection should still be there since even help file mentions it:

https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDLT/2026/ENU/?guid=GUID-0223840C-D96F-41E9-8D33-1CEFA8D07B3C

What happens when you enter at the command prompt:

PASTESPEC

When I start to type paste on the command line, it pulls up three options:
pasteblock, pasteclip and pasteorig. When I type pastespec, it pulls up
paste block.

that is odd...perhaps you can try resetting LT 2026 or wait till someone else who is also using this version to chime in.

Go ahead & click on Open the External References Palette

When I opened your dwg I did see there are a number of files attached but not found.

Usually if these files have been moved or renamed then AutoCAD would bring up this alert window to notify you as you open the dwg.

BTW, are you running AutoCAD LT on a Mac?

AutoCAD LT on Mac does not have PASTESPEC command:

Only Paste commands on Mac are:

You should be able to enter the following command to open the External References Palette:

AutoCAD LT for Mac 2026 Help | XREF (Command) | Autodesk

As you can see the Mac version do contain some differences compared to the Windows version.

You may want to post your questions in the AutoCAD for Mac forum here:
