Only 255 Colours available in AutoCAD LT 2014?

Hi,

I am currently using AutoCAD LT 2014 and I seem to be limited in terms of the number of colours available to me.

Is this a limitation of LT 2014 or my hardware?

If so, is the only way to get more colours available to upgrade my AutoCAD version to Full, or is it a graphics card upgrade?

I need more subtlety in the colours that are available to me for simple 2d layouts and possibly simple 3d views in the future.

1. COLOR command (or select any "more" option in any color pulldown)
2. Three tabs at the top of the pop-up that appears: look beyond the first tab for more color options. help yourself to TRUE COLOR (RGB) for infintely more options.
3. You can get specific paint colors from paint manufacturers too (third tab called COLOR BOOKS). Benjamin Moors and Serwin Williams among others offer them.
