Not able to open AutoCAD LT from Excel using VBA

Hi All,

I normally open my AutoCAD files from Excel using the below by

 Dim acadApp                 As Object

Of late I have been using AutoCAD 2011 LT version and I am not able to open AutoCAD from Excel.

The same is working well if used with AutoCAD 15

Is this a limitation with LT version?

Most of the programming languages that are available in full Autocad are disabled in LT, if this is something that you did previously in full Autocad then I doubt it will work, if however you have run this previously in LT I would be fascinated to see the full program that you use in EXCEL.

Yes Steven. In LT version the programming aspect seems to be disabled.

You are right just realised I had the full 2018 version. Darn it back to the drawing board!

Thanks
