no paste option

I suddenly cannot paste from a source drawing into a new drawing.  I can select the source item(s) with or without a base point but when I go to the destination drawing, I have no option to paste the work.  I have previously done this regularly (in other drawings) WITHOUT ISSUE

Can you post both drawings so we can have a go?

The only thing I can suggest is see if it will paste into a blank drawing. If it doesn't try doing a repair reinstall

So you didn't copied something. I guess the COPYCLIP/COPYBASE didn't work.

Go to your source file, select your item (for a test, create a CIRCLE and use this circle for tests)

press CTRL+C

Go to the target file, CTRL+V and pick to the center of your current view.

Press F2 and read (and share) the last lines of [F2] dialog.

Can we trust that you already tried a reboot before making the request?

Maybe try restarting your computer and that might clear things up.

2) Did you restart your PC yet? Do that now if not.

3) Is there an error message at the source or destination file at the commandline? your commandline should be on, visible, and for now until your issue is resolved 5-10 lines tall so you can observe any messages from the program.
