No menus in AutoCAD LT 2014 running on Windows 8 - how can I get this resolved?

The menus that were along the top of the LT window since I first installed the product years ago have now disappeared, rendering the product unusable. I need to get back to where I was on Monday or else my software is nothing more than an expensive space holder in my system.

I uninstalled LT and reinstalled it - no change.

So far - no response - is there another source of help at Autodesk? This is the first problem I have encountered that required support but it has stopped production and I really need to get an answer.

So - two questions - how do I get AutoCAD LT 2014 back to its original state, and if there is no answer for that, where else can I go to get some help on this issue. It is getting to be very frustrating and I need to get back to work.

I am losing days of work that I can ill afford due to disappearing menus and no clear path to getting them back. I am getting desperate here - is there any source of help that would at least give me a starting point towards regaining the ability to use this software?

Try resetting your Ribbon:

I have attempted to do that with no luck - specific, step by step instructions are required - the CUI interface keeps saying my menu(x) is empty and won't be displayed. This is frustrating in the extreme.

Could you share some images showing the error?

I don't know how to do that. Imagine AutoCAD LT with no menus and that's pretty much it. I can get the Classic AutoCAD menus to load, but they are useless. I want the ones that were there when I first installed AutoCAD LT 2014.

Is your ribbon like that?

You can press the arrow in the upper right corner (marked)!

My AutoCAD LT 2014 menus disappeared and I can't get them back. I need at least a starting point to try and recover where I was yesterday - I am losing too much time trying to sort this out with no positive results.

If you ask in that place, many experts will help you! I don't know much about AutoCAD. And this forum is for others subjects (actually Meet and Greet).

My menus disappeared and I can't get them back. How can I restore AutoCAD LT 2014 to its original format?

Click on the start button on your desktop, go to all programs, autodesk, autocad LT2014, select reset settings to default.

There is no "start" button - I am running Windows 8 and I can't find a button that allows me to access all programs.

Sorry, I haven't used win8 so you'll have to wait for someone else to chime in

Have you tried logging in as a seperate user to see if the issue occurs in that brand new profile on your system?

Do you still have the issue if you reset your settings to default?

Also you can refer to the following AKN article for additional support if it applies.

I uninstalled AutoCAD LT 2014 and reinstalled it. There are still no menus. There is a ribbon menu on the side of the screen, if I click on that, I get a few menus, such as the draw menu, which I can then drag off the ribbon and drop it elsewhere, it just sits there on top of items below it - it is not integrated with anything. I can drag the command bar up and drop it at the top of the drawing window, so that's good, but I am used to having a number of menus across the top of the screen - draw, modify, measure and so on. Even if I manage, laboriously, to recreate the work environment I had yesterday, I am concerned that it will evaporate again. And I don't see any way of integrating those disparate menus into one larger menu.

Are there any tutorials on how to create or load menus for AutoCAD LT 2014? Nothing is working, and my design work is dead in the water. Surely there must be someone out there with a suggestion.
