New Computer

I have been attempting to utilize the "The Portable License Utility (PLU) is an application for Autodesk software versions 2009 and earlier" to transfer my 2009 AutoCAD LT license from my old laptop to my new one just purchased.

When I launch the utility and follow the on-screen instructions for exporting my license, it is asking me to add my new computer and identification number. It says that I will automatically get the ID number when I launch AutoCAD on my new computer. The problem is, I cannot seem to find any downloads for AutoCAD LT 2009.

Then, when I tried something different by attempting to download AutoCAD LT 2017 on my new PC, that wont even work. I keep getting messages that parts of the download failed to complete. I have verified that my new laptop's systems requirements are well within the minimum requirements. I have attached log file that was provided when the installation did not complete.

Thanks

Aaron

LT2017 needs to use it's own license number: you will need to pay for it.
LT2017 trial is free to use for 30-days, just click on the TRIAL option when you first start the program instead of ENTER SERIAL NUMBER.
You can get the install of LT2017 with this alternate method if your PC's firewall or anti-virus or internet provider are not blocking large 1Gig+ downloads https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Instal...

Neither of the above require you to do anything with LT2009: downlaods for it are no longer available from Autodesk, you need to find your old disks or your old download OR see if the Autodesk Customer Care team can (or may not) be able to help you get the link/info you need. You might want to try requesting a download option from the Customer Care team.
