moving dim text manually

Hi Community,

Long time user of AutoCad and now for the past 2 years I'm using on line LT version.

The problem:  After inserting a dim line into a drawing, I cannot move the text manually.  Before, you could right click on the text and have a command come up that allowed several movement options.  These are no longer available to me when I do this now.

Can you please help me?

Thanks so much!

There is no "online" LT version: what program are you using exactly?

In both AutoCAD/LT ensure PICKFIRST and PICKADD variables are turned on so you can select objects to make the grips appear so you can move them.

Are you by any chance using A360 to make modifications to your drawings?

Have you tried the suggestion made in the previous post, did that help with your issue?

Hi Sarah,

So let's say I perform a linear dimension on a particular line drawn. The dimension text will show up in a predetermined position between the 2 ref  points or if not enough room will display outside the 2 ref points. Let's say I did not like the position of the text displayed outside the 2 ref points and wanted to move the text with a leader to place it strategically so as to be readable on the print. In the past, I could highlight the dimension, right click and have options to move that text...like "move text alone" "move with leader" and a few more commands allowing freedom now to move the text to a favorable spot of preference. Those commands are no longer showing up in the right click menu.
