mouse trails on aux monitor autocad lt 15

new install on hp zbook laptop, autocad 15 seems to work so far

installed dell monitor and get mouse trails

searching for answers found out installing sp2 may fix

tried to install and get error about program version not found.

what to do?

not even sure how to check for an answer to this post.thanks

Sorry to hear about the issue. Could you provide some specs on your computer? Which OS is this? Do you have a screenshot of the error?

thanks had autocad 14 lite, i.t. dept upgraded me to 15, and problems started. only when had my laptop docked and using large monitor.

problem is mouse trails, now mouse trails with laptop home undocked.

microsoft 7 professional service pack 1 build 7601,      hp zbook 14      x64 based pc  i5-4300u cpu @ 1.9ghz, 2501 mhz,   2 cores    4 logical processors

bios version  hp L71 ver 01.04  10/9/2013  ram 16gb  total physical mem  15.6gb   available   12.2gb  total virtual mem  31.3gb  avail  virt mem 27.9gb

display adapter name intel R hd graphics family  , pnp device id  = pci\ven_8086&dev.....,     driver c:....atikmpag.sys

name amd firepro m4100  firegl V

autodesk autocad lt 2015  sn xxx-xxxxxxxx

for heck of it after reading some other memos from autocad problems, i tried to install sp 2, but error said this version not found on pc, or something close

continuing my story, i followed more helpful relevant hints and used an icon on lower right ribbon to turn option on and off

mouse tracking dissapeared but auto cad drawing surface is dark, clicking on help results in dark help screen. sorry about details

i even found hint to reset autocad to defaults, screen still dark. all i get is big red 'a', file, open save visible

using comand line and entering commands i was able to draw save and print my project drawing.

OPTIONS command's DISPLAY tab has settings to change background colors and even segments of screen colors to change. Help yourself.

autocad 15lt

mouse tracking solved, used graphics config and turned accel off

somehow really messed up because autocad screen was dark, no ribbons, help was avail but dark...

one more response was to go to options, which i could not locate, but command line was used and changed colors to light

that worked,  but no ribbons were shown, so i typed in ribbon and voila.... i have ac15 lt  running again.

thanks for continued hints and help,

but  the learnig curve is tremendous!!!!!!
