I expect I will get a lot of flak about using an old version, but it has been working perfectly for 8 years and, well, I'm loathe to just abandon it and start again with a new version. A bit like my Windows XP. Today, out of the blue, the program has decided to freeze on virtually any command after opening a drawing. My drawings aren't large, in fact I started a new 'blank' drawing, drew one line, and tried to save it but it wouldn't save. Even the cursor on the command line stopped, no mouse pointer, nothing. Had to use Task Manager to close the program, many times today. None of my other programs are affected.
I've tried repairing the installation through Windows Add/Remove, but that made no difference. I then tried reinstalling, but it said I needed the original CD which I don't think I ever had (I'm pretty sure it was a download).
Any ideas?
