Long Plot on iPF755

Hi,

I'm trying to plot an 13m long plot on our Canon imageprograf iPF755.

I've set up the paper to 900x13000 in printer properties but AutoCAD LT 2018 keeps cancelling the plot with the error below.

I've checked the plotter driver is upto date.

The PC is running Win10 64.

Any ideas anyone?

canon plot pic1.jpg
Category name:
Page setup: 900x13000
Device name: CANON Plotter.pc3
Plot file path:
Paper size: 900x13000

MESSAGE: Error : The operation completed successfully.

ERROR: The device has reported an unknown error.

It says your Canon rejected the plot: you probably need to find out if your plotter can actually do that, AUtoCAD alone cannot force it.

How about a 13-meter test plot on the plotter with the plotter driver?

Hi, thank you for your reply.

Still no joy.

I had the width set incorrectly for the roll at 900mm. I've corrected this to 841.

I sent a test print from the driver and the plotter printed the test data and started spooling the paper. After a few meters I killed the plotter and rolled the paper back to save the paper.

But AutoCAD still won't send the plot.

I'm getting the same error. 'ERROR: The device has reported an unknown error.'

I just tried importing the dwg into SolidWorks and although some of the hatching failed to import so its not an ideal solution; Solidworks DID manage to send the plot succesfully to the plotter and I now have 13 metres of paper snaking across the floor. So it would seem that its an issue with AutoCAD.
