Then select and test a few of the standard linetypes by drawing them in modelspace and then switching to paperspace and viewing them through a viewport. AutoCAD comes with 3 variations of a lot of them, for representing 3 different ways without having to resort to scale overrides. You want to be able to see what you want for a finished linetype in modelspace, and then see the same thing in paperspace and in every viewport in paperspce.
