I use AutoCAD LT 2024 and my ltscale, psltscale and msltscale are all set to 1. I see hidden and dotted lines fine in model space, but they appear continuous in paper space. In model space my plotting scale is set to 1/8" =1-0"_XREF
Changing the values of LTSCALE, PSLTSCALE or MSLTscale in model/paper space makes no difference whatsoever to the lines in paper space. They appear continuous. Any answers to this pesky problem?
Since you say that in Model tab the Linetypes look fine, what is your LTSCALE?
Also what happens when you set MSLTSCALE & PSLTSCALE to 0?
How do the Linetypes look now in Layout Vports?
Can you share your dwg?
Well, nothing happens. The dotted lines are seen in model space and they show as continuous in paper space.
And the funny part is that the final plot, whether in paper space or model space appears the same-that is with continuous lines.
ltscale is 1, psltscale and msltscale is 0 each. But even if the psltscale and msltscale were to be played around, still the lines appear continuous in paper space.
Hi Aparna,
Can you post your drawing?

So what is your ltscale setting in Model tab?
Are you using custom linetypes?
Still waiting for you to share your dwg?
Hi Aparna,
I just downloaded your drawings. In your A-401-FIRST FLOOR PLAN-CHAPEL drawing, looking at your A-402-SECOND FLOOR layout, I see the HIDDEN linetype OK. A screen shot would help to see which linetypes are not showing up in paper space.
Dave
PS, In your drawing I see
LTSCALE: 1.5
PSLTSCALE: 1
MSLTSCALE: 0

already sent this reply to you via email last Thursday:
Hi Aparna,
So I discovered your issue. You've defined different linetype scales for the same linetype like HIDDEN for different objects. This really confuses things. This is also the reason why I don't assign colors to objects but let the Layer control the Color. Then I only need to change the Color in one location and everything is updated.
Now in your case with different linetype scales in X-Floor Plan.dwg, I used CHPROP command and changed all objects LTSCALE to 1. I also set CELTSCALE to 1. This way anything you draw will use 1 as the LTSCALE.
Then let the Layer Linetype assignment control everything. If the Linetype doesn't work, then create another Layer and assign a different Linetype that works. I set LTSCALE to 1 & MSLTSCALE to 1 so when you work in Model tab you can select the Annotation Scale like 1/8”=1’-0” and see the Linetype develop.
Then in A-401-FIRST FLOOR PLAN-CHAPEL.dwg I made sure again LTSCALE = 1, set MSLTSCALE = 1 and PSLTSCALE = 1 this way depending on the Pspace Vport Scale that would factor the linetype as well.
Check out attached revised drawings which now do show Linetypes both in Model tab & all Layouts.
