Line Weight in Paper Space AutoCad 2018 LT

I have created a CAD drawing.  I have no issues with line weights on multiple layers in layout model space.  I performed the "from template" command to insert a title block into paper space.  I select object of the title block, rt click properties, select color by block, layer is my proposed structure, linetype by layer, line weight 1.4mm. Paper is Arch D.

I used the layers by viewport to define my PDF print. Worked as designed. Why can't I get the title block line weight alter in thickness?

Where can't you change the line weights, in modelspace, in a layout or in a PDF plot? and how are you trying to change it?

Do you need to turn on LWDISPLAY variable? Usage is explained in HELP.
Or do you need to check the box called DISPLAY PLOT STYLE in PAGESETUP command while in that layout?

I am in paperspace. not in the layout viewport. I select the perimeter line, rt click to properties.  It defaults to block & I adjust the  line width.  I routinely drew the title block in model & saved as a template. Brought the template into paper space.

You cannot change the linewidth of a block. You would need to open the block editor and change the lineweight of objects from inside the block editor.
