Lignes not visible being printed

Hello everybody,

I have some cotations that appears when I print and that I can't find on my dwg drawing.

They show on the preview plot and when I plot but are nowhere to be found on paper space or model space.

I thought black cotations on black backgroud or white on white but even if I do "select all" there is nothing where the cotations should be.

And of course those cotations are all over the place...

Any idea what it could be?

Thank you for your help and have a great day,

Marielle

So it appears to be a line in one of my xref but the layer is switched off on my drawing and again this layer is red (not black or white) so it should show if it prints.

I know you can see lines and not print them but never came accross lines that you cannot see but will print.

This is not normal. You should share your files for inspection.

Rob

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

@marielleBNEGH FREEZE instead of turning the layer OFF to see if that helps with your issue.

Doesn't work 😞

For now I removed the cotations from the xref but I would like to understand in case it happens again.

But thank you anyway!

As it is for work and from a client I cannot share the file. And it has so many xref in others xrefs and tons of layers it is a nightmare to work with.

Sadly, without access to your DWG files its hard for the rest of us to guess at the problem. Work with the file(s) originator, perhaps the two of you with access to the DWG files can figure it out together.

Good luck.

Thank you all for your help.

I was hoping it was something simple that I just didn't think about or didn't know.

It appears to be a bit more complicated than this so for now I just erased the cotations in the xref.

Have a nice day 🙂
