JAVA

My e-mails are running extremely slow, and my provider suggests that I update Java, as their system has been upgraded.

But when I have checked my computer, JAVA has not been ( and never has been ) installed.

So I was just wanting to make sure that if I install the latest version of JAVA ( version 8, update 111 ), that AutoCAD LT2017 will / should not be affected.

I am not trying to link Java with AutoCAD, but just want to see if in fact the installation of JAVA on my computer will  help with the running / opening / functions of my Webmail/E-mail.

Can anyone help with this, thanks,

Thanks for your reply. I just wasn't sure if it would upset AutoCAD. I think that I will install it, and hopefully my slow e-mail problem will speed up.

@LyonsDesign

I have Java installed on one of my systems with AutoCAD 2013-2017 installed.

If you run into performance problems post back in this thread or create a new one.

Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your reply. I would rather not install Java if it may/will cause a problem with Autocad LT2017. I am trying to find out if LT2017 will be affected in any way, as I don't really want to cause an issue with Cad because of installing Java, and then find that Cad does not function correctly.

I may try Java down the line, if I feel more certain that Cad will not be affected,
