issue joining curved to straight polylines

i' am drawing a simple polyline shape which contains arcs and lines. When I flick from an arc to a line, the polyline almost doesn't regen properly and creates a funny join, as picture below:

has anyone seen anything like this before and more importantly how to remove it?

Welcome to the Forums

Unfortunately that's the nature of the beast. Closed polylines can sometimes appear that way. There is nothing that can be done about it

You are using a width, apparently, that's how it works, you could use the fillet command on that junction and use a radius half the width of the polyline which would give it a nice rounded finish>

Or use a different method to create the shape, draw a zero width polyline and use the offset command to create the width and then solid fill.

Depending on your needs, you can get a clean OUTPUT by using lineweights instead of polyline widths:

Left is POLYLINE with WIDTH, Right is POLYLINE with LINEWEIGHTLeft is POLYLINE with WIDTH, Right is POLYLINE with LINEWEIGHT
