Invisible file elements

I have Autodesk AutoCAD LT 2025.

At file startup, all elements are invisible. The elements become visible in red when I select all.

The elements are also not editable. This happens for any file that is opened.

This happened spontaneously between work sessions.

Any solution?

Can you elaborate @Stephenkmcspadden ? Show us screenshots so we can see what you see.

FYI everything in your posted file is visible and editable here

Hi,

Nothing weird. It's Normal after opening the file.

I suggest to :

  • Toggle On/OFF hardware acceleration from Graphicsconfig command.
  •  Toggle  0 / 1  value for Gfxdx12 ... then restart AutoCAD.
  • Make sure that you have the latest CAD updates.

Even when I start a new file and add new elements, the elements
automatically go invisible.
I cannot provide a screenshot because it is just a blank page.
The fact that you can edit the file is depressing. It sounds like there is
a setting that may be causing the problem or maybe I have to delete and
reload the program!?

At the command line type GFXDX12. Change the value to 0. Do the elements come back?

Have you installed the 2025.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command in your AutoCAD will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards please.

If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero): a restart of your AutoCAD/LT is required for it to take effect.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables (usage is explained in HELP): if still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort, and start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here

No help yet.
It appears that my AMD graphics driver is no longer supported. I don’t know
why this seemingly happened spontaneously.

@Stephenkmcspadden can you roll back your graphics driver to one that works with AutoCAD?
