Inserting a Block

I have a block that was created and when trying to insert it into my drawling (from another drawling) it was a lot bigger than mine and so I had scaled my drawing to see if I could get it to match up. Well now the block is super tiny and I can't seem to get them to be the same size.

Any help?

Attached is my dwg file

Is this what you are looking for? I used the SCALE command with the reference option on both the block and the drawing to set them both at the dimensions shown.

Do you know what size it needs to be? If yes, you can use SCALE command.

Also, ALIGN command can scale obejcts if you need to match it to something more specific in your file.

What dimensions is this at? Or what did you type in after selectin scale?

I am just not sure how you did what you did to get it to work!

No specific size, just so they match/line up. I tried using the scale command but one always came out larger or smaller than the other. That's my main issue.

Start HELP in LT and in the search box type:
To Scale an Object by Reference

Read more about that tip here http://autocadtips1.com/2011/04/17/scale-objects-with-a-reference/

What I did was selected the block, typed in SCALE, picked the upper left corner of the block where the 193'dim is associated to for the base point. Then typed R for reference, picked the same corner to start the reference lenght and then picked the upper right corner to finish the lenght. Then typed in 193' for new lenght. Did the same thing on the rest of the drawing to match the scale.
