How to uninstall Autocad??

I installed Autocad LT 2002 recently. Now I want to uninstall it because it has messed up my "Add/Remove Programs" listing. When I go into the Add/Remove Programs tool, everything looks alright. Then you scroll down and there is this gaping white space where Autocad should appear. You have to scroll WAY down to find the rest of the listings.

The problem is . . . Autocad does not appear in the programs installed so I do not have the option of uninstalling it.

I feel really stupid because I had a very similar problem once before, except that that time Autocad was listed in the Add/Remove programs list, but the huge white space came right after it. Someone on this forum helped me out then, and I am hoping for a positive result this time as well.

Many thanks. If I have not been clear, just ask questions.

Pat

Just wanted to post that I did resolve the issue. In the registry, the DisplayIcon for Autocad showed a -1. I removed that, inserted a zero, and now it's fine.

simply reusing the product CD would offer an uninstall too.

No it doesn't if you have MSi 3.1 installed, it errors. I removed the -1 from the Uninstall list in
HKLM\Software\MicrosoftWindows\CurrentVersion\Unistall\{Product Code}. The Add/Remove programs now actually works.

Thank you so much to pphelan for pointing that out! That was bugging the crap out of me.

For Ric Norris,

It is located exactly here:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{5783F2D7-0109-0409-0000-0060B0CE6BBA}

I'm pretty sure the product code will be the same. If it's not, look in the Uninstall Key and scroll down through the long series of number ones until you see "AutoDesk" or "AutoCAD" on the right side in any of the registry entries.
