How to save plot settings

Hello,  Every time I want to plot something I find my self always having to select the same printer, monochrome, center plot and window everytime I plot.  How do you save these settings?

Those settings are saved in the drawing, and more specifically in the layout/model space.

Open your template drawing(s) and set the desired settings in there, then save.
From then on, when you start a new drawing, the print settings will be ready to go.

First, are you trying to print from model space or a layout? If it's model space, right click on the model tab and chose page setup manager. In the dialog box select modify. Set up the plot dialog box the way you want it and hit ok. If you want you can set up a new pagesetup and name it with paper size or printer or whatever and then set that how you want it. Then when you select plot, you can just click on the page setup name you want to use and it will be set. Layouts are pretty much the same process.

AutoCAD is not like other programs: you must set plot parameters in each file's tab first.
The first reply you got here is an excellent way to do it: if you plot from paperspace layouts, you can also use ADCENTER command to drag pre-created layouts from your template file into your active file to use (and the plotter definitions come along with it).

If you are an advance LT user, you can also create buttons on your AutoCAD Ribbon to click on to activate certain predefined plot paramaters with a few macros too. let us know if you are up for it.
