How to save / export DWG with only selected layers available?

Is there a way to export or save a DWG file with only the selected layers available in that file?

Only if your drawing is so well organized that those layers (and no others) only contain he content you wish/desire, there are no errant blocks or parts of blocks on other layers: then you freeze all others, thaw the ones you want, and use WBLOCK command to create a new DWG file from the modelspace content of your source file.

Or SAVEAS then use LAYDEL command to remove all the other layers in the new file.
