How to draw an isocirlce on a non-standard isoplane?

Greetings!,

First time poster, long time reader.  I've got AutoCad 2012LT.  I'm looking to draw an isometric cirlce on an off angled isoplane.  Is there a way to tweak the UCS to adjust the isoplane so I can draw an isocircle correctly?  Is this something I will have to layout manually and fill in with arcs?  Can it be laid out and drawn with an ellipse?

I've been beating my head against the wall of google for a coupe days with nothing to show for it.  Any help this community can throw my way would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

UCS command: have you looked it up in HELP and explored it's sub-option "object" in your file yet? Time to experiment for two days, not Google 🙂

Well, I’ve tried a multitude of different approaches. I know I can fudge in a decently acceptable circle by manually laying out a construction frame and drawing in series of arcs. But it’s tedious and not accurate. The engineer voices in my head compel me to figure out how to do it correctly & accurately.

I’ve systematically tried all the UCS commands, in varying combinations, in an attempt to rotate the UCS so that, when in the isometric view, the isoplane I want to draw my isocircle on is adjusted correctly. My gut is telling me the answer lies there but I can’t seem to find it.

So, now I’ve come to you good folks. I can’t be the only one out there trying to draw an isocircle on an odd angled isoplane. If I had a 3D capable version of AutoCad, it’d be a snap, but not all of us have the cool toys. 😉
