I have had to change my PC tower at work to a new one, so downloaded LT2024, I was using LT2021 before and this had my profile set up with all my tabs etc.
now that I have moved to 2024, my profile is all wrong!!
Do I need to download 2021 again to get access to my profile, or do I need to just go about trying to re set up the profile from scratch??

Sadly, you will need the content from your AutoCAD2021 software to be able to transfer it / make it appear in AutoCAD2024. That's just how it all works. Autodesk does not copy your PC to anywhere for you, sorry.
Unless you took the extra steps of exporting and copying all of your content to a safe storage online or a thumbdrive: did you by chance?
All my files etc are safe, they are on a company server, was just my CAD profile etc, its been that long since I had to set one up I will just have to try and find where all the tool bars etc are again, to get it back looking like I want it, cheers though

This is what you will need to do regularly (quarterly? Annually? Often?) to keep your AutoCAD setup safe for recovery
