When using AutoCAD LT 2016 and printing to a .pdf document, I want a single layer (Color 12) to print in color (while everything else prints in Black). Something isn't working after I have updated my CTB file and Layer Properties. The text in the layer using Color 12 simply has a grayscale to it (but not represented in color).
In the Plot Style Manager, I updated my CTB file by selecting Color 12 (Name), and set it to Color 12 (Color), then selected OFF for the 'Convert to Grayscale' setting. I still want to use my own CTB file - as the particular lineweight thicknesses are established.
Any suggestions on what I am missing - or could try doing?

Attached is the template I have been trying to update. The forum isn't allowing my to attached a CTB file. Is there another way to upload the CTB file and/or export it to a different file extension?
I am unable to convert the CTB file into any other format. I have instead attached a screen view of the CTB file when it is open (to the Color 12 I am trying to update).
No one asked you to convert it: simply rename the file extension.
You can also ZIP it then post it http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compress-uncompress-files-zip-files#1TC=windows-7
BUT... You have color 12 set to red, which is color 2 (which is set to black): it needs to be set to color 12 🙂
I am unable to rename the file extension. The zip file is attached - which includes my CTB file.
I also did set color 12 to be printed as color 12 - instead of black, and it still isn't working. I can adjust the screening adjustment for the different colors, and the shading effect is visible when printing to a .pdf file. The screening and various lineweights can be adjusted and are updating just fine within my CTB file. It's simply the color printing that is not updating. There's some other setting that isn't working.
Looking at your ctb file, for color 12 you have convert to grey scale turned on. It needs to be turned off.
One more time: Color 12 needs to be set to 12, aka USE OBJECT COLOR. See below.
If you don't like color 12's output, on that pulldown click SELECT COLOR and build your own RGB color.
Just an FYI, the ctb file did work ok with color 12 assigned as red when I tried it.
