Hatch function

Our company just switched to AutoCAD LT 2020 from AutoCAD LT 2008.  When I select the hatch function it locks my computer down for ten seconds sometimes... two minutes sometimes.  Is there any way to rectify this?

Is it updated? = Productversion2020.1

How is it in new blank files?

How is it in a new file, created by this way:

Open your file by RECOVER,

Start WBLOCK, entire drawing

Open the new created file.

Still a problem?

Dis/Enable the HA, Command: GRAPHICCONFIG

2008 to 2020 is a big step, save your files in dwg2018 format.

That works!  I took an existing drawing and inserted it into a new drawing and hatch now works great.  Thank you for the help!!
