Hatch an arch with brick.

I run in to this on occasion. I need to hatch an arch. I usually just draw it like in the pic. Is there some other method to do it?

You need to draw each brick course, it's the proper way.

 

BTW, the correct drafting technique is as below, a full brick at the top, not a joint as you've drawn it

I would say drawing is probably your best and easiest option, obviously that depends on how you do it, I would use divide or measure on the inner arc, or possibly even polar array. If you are doing hundreds of different arches it may well be worth while looking at the possible use of blocks, but in any event I can't see hatch being a great success as they are inherently linear. And I would imagine that you are fixed to standard brick sizes anyway so drawing would be the more logical choice.
