Hardware Acceleration

I am working with Autocad as a fire alarm plan designer.  When I am working from home my screens flicker when running with Hardware Acceleration on.  I just rebuilt my computer this year. PC Specs are 12th Gen Intel Core I9-12900K, Samsung SSD 980 Pro 2TB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32GB RAM,  4K HDR monitor with 144 Hz refresh rate.  I feel like I should not have an issue with my monitors flickering with Hardware Acceleration turned on.  Any advice you can give would be appreciated.  Thank you,

Generally, AutoCAD isn't certified to work with gamer cards. They utilize the Quadro and Radeon lines. Always check the certified hardware list. You might be able to solve your problem by turning off an option rather than disabling hardware acceleration.

@jpetrosian "working from home" means AutoCAD is installed and running on your home PC, or are you remoting into the office PC and working on the computer/AutoCAD over there from home?

Also... post screenshots from your ABOUT and GRAPHICSCONFIG commands pop-ups please, and confirm your OS when you get a chance.

Thanks for the screenshots.

You are missing the 2022.1.3 Update: get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP.

You could also try setting the GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022.

And as a general rule for me anyway, consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables too.

Does the monitor flickering issue you are posting about stop after all of that?

Thank you for all of your assistance. This has stopped the flickering on my main monitor where I use Autocad.  Unfortuantely, my second monitor, where I have my PDF's and work orders open while I am doing design work with Autocad is still doing the flickering.  Is there any thing else I can do to stop the flickering on the second monitor?  I have attached a screenshot of the monitor specs.

In our offices, these two settings are identical for all of our monitors

Tweaking the refresh rate might help too. Experiment.

Had same problem with my HDR monitor. But I got solution, worked for me at 100%.

Windows AutoHDR trying to adjust HDR every time Autocad is starting to move.

Sad that in 2024 there is 90th engine in Autocad, so video card just turning off when u don't use program even for a second.

Change settings in ''graphic settings''.
