To force an arrow that is on the inside to go to outside (shown below)
|<---dimension--->|
to
-->|---dimension---|<--
1. highlight the grip point at the arrow.
2. wait about 5 sec.
3. When menu pops up, select "flip arrow"
Unfortunately this only does one side so you must rinse and repeat on other side.
This works to flip from outside in as well
-->|---dimension---|<--
to
|<---dimension--->|
This works - but I'd like to have the dimension line not appear between the extension lines:
I'd prefer ---->| Dim.Text |<----
not .. ---->|--Dim.Text--|<----
Is this possible? Years ago I wrote a LISP routine (that I lost when changing employers) that would cycle through all of the arrow-in/arrow-out options for a chosen linear dimension. So, in those days the result shown above was possible - but I'm not sure how to achieve it now.
Thanks!
Oops, I found the above solution via a Google search and didn't realize that this was on the LT (versus AutoCAD) forum - until after I'd posted. Assume the answers might be the same for both platforms..?
Thanks for that variant verification - I appreciate it.
Do you know how to eliminate the dimension-line segments, that are between the extension-lines, when the arrows get flipped to the outside?
Such that ...
we have --->| XXX.XX |<---
and not --->|--XXX.XX--|<---
select Dimension in question then go into Properties and increase "Text Offset". may need to re-flip arrows afterwards.
Thanks. A bit clunky way that they've designed for making this simple change - but it works.
Thanks for your help!
