Hello,
I was tasked with drawing a stringer with a lip that folds down on one end and up on the other. The clear span has to be 9", while the lips have to be confined to a 1x4" boundary (dashed, green line). The (arbitrary) fillet that was used here was 3/4" radius. The pictures show my progression on how I got to the desired results but rotating and shrinking the red rectangle on the center of the pink circle until I got close enough. The yellow circles are maybe in the right direction but I can't figure out how or if they come to play. Does anyone know how to get the end result on step '4' without winging it to get close enough? Much appreciated.
