fillet command problem

Long time user, all of the sudden, fillet command does not work.  I did lots of googling, and found PICKADD command.  I changed the variables (0, 1 and 2), but that didn't work.  Lines are in the same plane.  If I pick a radius instead of just 90 degree fillet, it will draw the arc, but it won't connect the lines.   So you have two perpendicular lines with a floating arc.  Fillet does work if I want to fillet two parallel lines, (which I never do).  Any thoughts on what might be happening?  Oh, I did discover that it will fillet if I select the first line, then hit SHIFT select for the second.  That's the only way it works, but that's not how I've been doing it for 25 years.

Fillet is something I use constantly.  HELP!

I have attempted to replicate your problem and 2016LT is working normally for me. Which version are you having this problem with? I hate issues like that when for an unexplained reason an old usefull tool stops fuctioning the way you know it should.

It's VERY odd, I am using autocadLT 2012. If you draw two perpendicular lines, and try to fillet, an X will appear at the intersection point, but it will not extend the two lines. I think I mentioned it will draw an arc if I set radius to 12" for example, but it will only draw the arc, it won't extend the two lines. Never seen this before. I've rebooted my computer. Tried the command on various old drawing where the command worked in the past, but nothing works.
Thanks for checking into this!

You have accidentaly clicked on "NO TRIM" option of the command.

Set it to TRIM the lines.

type FILLET command, then type TRIM, you should see the two options pop up, TRIM or NO TRIM, you can then select which you prefer.  If TRIM is selected it will connect two non-parallel lines.  Hope that works for you.

BTW there is no way to set it to NO TRIM all the time BUT you can permanently edit the macro behind the button you lick to do so. Would you like to do that?

I ensured the setting is on TRIM and now when I pick the 2nd line to fillet, a message appears saying the line is not coplanar.

Please advise,

"coplanar' means one of the lines as a Z setting other than 0.000000000. You need to flatten your objects, use PROPERTIES command.

Remember, all objects in AutoCAD/LT have an X, Y and Z setting: since TRIM is a 2D function all of your objects (and both ends of a line object) must be at Z=0.00000000

Draw 2 lines perpendicular to each othe and select fillet command and give fillet radius and now select first line and go on second line and right click now select radius and select second line ...
Lines will take fillet

I can not get "fillet" command back. I have reloaded acad program and ACAD.cuix several times, but the command is not being recognized.  How do I get the "fillet" command back into the program?

I have a problem with the fillet command. When I typing "F" the command that active is FASTSEL but in the alias commands the letter assigned to FILET is F.

1. Check the right pgp again, from bottom to top, the first hit (if there are several) applies!
Unfortunately, not everyone at Adesk understood that, but we, the users, should know that.

2. When you type in F (only F, no enter hit), check your commandline.
What do you see in this moment in the commandline?
If "FASTSEL", you can use [<-] key or/abd have to learn more about the commandline feature "automatic completion"
