I just purchased AutoCadLT 2002
After installing the software, I tried to run (logon) to the AutoCadLT Program. It booted up and then displayed the "Fatal Error" message, then crashed without me doing anything. I am running Windows 10. Before running the software I ran the compatibility program in Windows.
I uninstalled the software, reinstalled and it did the same thing. Displayed the "FATAL ERROR" message then crashed.
Did you purchase AutoCAD LT 2002 from a reseller?
I don't know if you're aware but AutoCAD LT 2002 is not supported or compatible with a Windows 10 operating system. Would you be able to run a newer version of AutoCAD LT?
@Anonymous,
I'm sorry to hear that you went through something like this...
The only other recommendation's I can think of are to run a system that is compatible with AutoCAD LT 2002 which would be the below information;
The following are the system requirements for running AutoCAD 2002
OR
You could look at the following resources to get a release that is compatible with your system. There is a free 30 day trial period for all software, in case you are on a deadline.
Hope this helps.
If you need help with connecting with a reseller or someone from the Autodesk E-store, post back and let me know.
I'll try my best to help.
I'm following up on my previous post. If you have any questions about my post let me know.
If you still need suggestions or have questions I'll be more than happy to help.
Thanks.
I have purchased AutoCad Lt 2016.
It is compatible with Windows 10, and seems to work fine. I just need to learn the new version of AutoCad LT 2016.
Question,,will my old drawing's ( AutoCad LT 002 ) work with the 2016 version?
Thanks,
Bob
@Anonymous,
Thanks for coming back to the thread and providing an update.
For the most part, your drawings should open in AutoCAD LT. If you do have a problem post back in this thread or create a new one. I'd be happy to try and help.
For additional references;
DWG files only open with older versions of AutoCAD
