if you are facing trouble while importing layout using from template option, and when you access the required folder (in which drawings are saved) its giving status that this folder is empty, then check the file type option where you click for ope file if it is on Drawing Template(*.dwt) then change it into Drawing (*.dwg)

All drawings will show there in folder now select your required one.

Is there a question in there? Drawing template files *.dwt are kept in a separate template folder away from your normal drawing *.dwg files they shouldn't really be mixed up. You should create a template file with all the settings you would have in a 'standard' drawing with things like line types, text and dimension styles, default layouts etc. and you save this as a *.dwt file in the templates folder, not in your general working folders, typically you would only have a single template, though having several is often required. A template file is the basic blank drawing you would start new drawings with.
