Exiting Single Line Text

For the love of all things holy, why is it so complicated to just exit single line text? I've made my text, now anywhere I click just starts a new line. I click 'Esc', my text goes away. I click 'Enter' it dissapears... This is bothering the piss out of me.

How does one properly close a single line text?

Thank you.

LT version is what?
TEXTSIZE variable is set to what?
Your defined text style is using what font and what text height?

Enter STYLE command: is the one you are using set for the correct height? It's probably not disappearing, just really really really small when you do either action.

When you are done typing hit enter twice.

OP says hitting Enter once makes it disappear: not sure "twice" is gong to improve on it.

Thanks for the response. I allowed myself to rush and get frustrated. Turns out my text size was changed to something so large it was not showing in frame.... It's Friday I was clearly thinking of my weekend.

Lesson learned!

Thanks.
