Dropbox, tmp file, missing files

Hello,

We are using dropbox for file storage.  Until recently, all was working fine.  Now we are getting several .tmp files showing up in the directory.  We have also had a couple of instances where the dwg file disappears.  It was sometime this year when this behavior started.  We had been using dropbox for three years prior without incident.  We were using Acad Lt 2018, just this past month updated to 2021.  Is there a known issue?  Is it a save / sync issue?  Is there a setting I should check, or turn off?  Thank you for any help.

tmp files means you've lost the ability to read/write/rename/delete files in that folder(s): nothing in AutoCAD can fix that, it is a system/service level setting problem.

AutoCAD, when it saves a file, does all four of those actions in the file's folder.

Find out what else "changed" then undo it or find a way around it: simply upgrading to a newer LT version does not change a system level setting like that, we all upgraded to 2021 this year like you and I have not seen any reports of that being a problem with cloud services.

Thank you for the response.  It really did not give me any different insight into what might be going on then what I already know.  I mentioned the update to LT because if I didn't respondents would have asked. The thing is, that nothing else really changed.  I was/am hoping to find someone with the same problem (since it only happens when using acad) here who might have found a solution.  Again, thank you for trying to help.

This explains the procedure for a normal save operation in AutoCAD

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/AutoCAD-...

It will be similar for saving to the cloud/dropbox, so it sounds as though you are having connection problems and AutoCAD cannot proceed past the saving tmp file part, which is a system problem.

I was glad to find this thread.  Might this be related to my working on a cad file directly in Dropbox but it saving no .bak files while when working on the file copied to my harddrive,  .bak files are created?  So that it may be a connectivity issue?
