Drawing Tabs and Start Tab

I know that I have asked a similar question but I have a colleague that has a problem with his AutoCAD. When he starts a session he has no tabs (Start Tab and Model Space Tabs) - just a blank page.

Is this the STARTMODE setting or something else?

I have attached a copy of my screen - please see the tabs at the top and bottom of the page that he doesn't have.

How will he switch from model to paper and how will he switch between drawing files?

On your colleague's computer at the command line type OPTIONS

Choose the DISPLAY tab

Make sure both of the following are ticked DISPLAY FILE TABS, DISPLAY LAYOUT AND MODEL TABS

Do you know what - all of these machines were installed at the same time. I told the powers to be that they should do all of the preparatory work first, then carry out training on the software and then install AutoCAD. So, management being management they decided to install AutoCAD 4 months ago, carry out training 3 months ago and then do the preparatory work like standard details and blocks and creating templates which we have completed this week.

So time comes to roll out usage and hey presto - people have fiddled with their settings so none of the standard templates and blocks work properly. Plus they have messed with their applications so much that no-one has the same GUI at all.

I AM SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And hence, your answer is the absolute correct thing. I naively assumed that the settings would be the same only to look and see that he had turned off the tabs boxes on the options!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your help my friend!

Is this the only sane place on earth?

Make sure AutoCAD is maximised. Are they still not there?

Post a screenshot of what you can see and a screenshot of your display options as well
