drawing properties

When I copy a drawing as the basis for a new drawing, the properties of the old drawing, particularly "TDINDWG", remain. Is there any way to reset read-only drawing properties?

Most read-only variables are set or controlled by certain commands and
settings: some are not. A quick browse through HELP and TIME command, could
not see anything that would specifically reset TDINDWG, although I did not
try to see if creating a WBLOCK from the drawing resets it on not.

If you create TEMPLATE files in AutoCAD then a new drawing from it, is
TDINDWG reset in the new drawing file (not the way you describe in your
post, but actually using the Template option in SAVEAS to create)?
