drawing in 2D

Hello,

   I may not be able to explain this correctly but let me try. I have been using autocad LT for many years. With the new 2017 version, I notice the UCS iso drawing. Anyway, some how I got into drawing on this plane. I only want to draw in the 2D or x,y coordinates. I have tried many different things.

turned off the UCS icon

tried to flatten the drawing

tried to change all properties to elevation 0.

it still kicks me back to drawing on the x,y,z axis. I hope this is as clear as mud. Can anyone help me to only draw flat?

There is always a Z-element in AutoCAD/LT. Always.

Are your objects actually in a Z>0 setting? Or are you just staring at a flat plan in iso view?

If the latter, UCS command set to WORLD and PLAN command set to WORLD is the best way to get back to flat 2D-land view in the model.

If I'm understanding your mud correctly, type the command ISODRAFT and select the orthographic option.
