Hi,

nothing changed, I guess you tried to edit the windows ribbon, instead of the TOOLBARs (which you used in 2002).

Run command -TOOLBAR

type in LAYER

and confirm.

You can see the LAYER Toolbar now, do a rightclick on it...

Elaborate and be very specific please: we can't see your old setup or your current one.

Are you talking about helpers ? Did you click the Hamburger....

Because, since 2002, they decided that you don't need them all ! 😂  It is at the right and bottom corner. Click and manage to open as many helpers as you need.

What about the total interface ? Are you missing toolbars ? Write -TOOLBAR and open one to begin with. You can then CLOSERIBBON and set MENUBAR to 1 to feel like back in the 2000's

Read the answers again

and share screenshots.

It still sounds that you confused ribbon with toolbars.

Nothing (about toolbars) changed!

LOCKUI is set to 0 or a negative number?

Do you mean you were used to use the antic SCREENMENU or smthing ? I beleive it is still possible to open it... but I can't remember how.

I think I need someone old to help as whatever i do i can get a single isolated command on the drafting screen not on the top ribbon

If i can do that i can do the rest 🙂

Ah, you want the old classic interface. You can set that up yourself, Autodesk stopped offering that a long time ago, you just missed the transition.

To reCreate the "Classic" Workspace with all the toolbars and pulldown menus from old (with no Ribbon):

Start MENUBAR command, turn it on = 1
Go to Tools pulldown menu > toolbars > acad > layers
hover your mouse over layers toolbar > right click > properties
hover your mouse over any toolbar > right click > standard
hover your mouse over any toolbar > right click > styles
hover your mouse over any toolbar > right click > workspaces
at the commandline type RIBBONCLOSE command
arrange toolbars as you desire
Start WORKSPACE command, use the SAVEAS option, type in the word CLASSIC (which will be the new name for your workspace that has this look)

If you find all of this too challenging to do, you can follow along with this slower paced free video tutorial:

Do you want to have LT2025 similar to your LT2002?

Then, follow the hints above.

Share Screenshots or links to explain

1. What you want

2. What you can't to

3. .. anything what helps to understand and help you.

The green one is a toolbar,

how to get: See Postings & Links above

The red one is a Screenmenu, what is obsolet in L2025T

How to create/edit custom menu files (.cuix), your own toolbars and more, Command: CUI<enter>[F1]
