Dims within a block

I made a change to my dim style, and I would like to know how can i update my blocks in order for the change to take place? When i move the end of a dim then it updates,  but I don't want to do that to thousands of dims. I tried reset block but that did not do what I am trying to accomplish.

if I understand well, there is no ootb function like that!

It is possible by 3rd party programs (in LT2024 or newer),

but I can't offer a sample - I would also use my favorite search engine for a tool what can apply current dimstyle setting within blocks.

@lee.pellegrin You are describing associative dimensions: controlled by DIMASSOC command that is explained in HELP. Just understand what it is you are turning off and where: it helps too if you all did more than just use one single dimension style called STANDARD too. If not, you face a bigger hurdle.

If you also mean the dimension changes text sizing and other things too... having one dimension style called the same one name (like STANDARD) is why you saw that, and the fix is to never have just on single dimstyle for multiple needs.

IF you are trying to ONLY edit one block, but not change the 1000s of other copies of that one block, well, you need a second block with a different name to change, you can't touch the one that have 1000s of copies. Or just BURST it then recreate the block with a new name.

When I ran update block in place, all of the dims changed then I did a save. I wrote a macro and opened them all.
