Diesel Line String

At a previous company we added a diesel linestring into the border master file that, when the drawings were updated, would list out the file location, date, time and user who printed it.  Does anyone have the string or a variation that I can just add to our border?

Make yourself, with fields without diesel, command: field
There is also diesel available, but i have to more explain which variables you need, so use the ready field option and not Diesel. But i am sure in your old company u used also fields.

http://help.autodesk.com/view/ACDLT/2018/ENU/?guid=GUID-1B6DD22B-10D1-44ED-BAA2-E6D79FE52327

Create a field to the drawing property last save.
Ooen Text, Mtext or atrribute for edit, rightmouseclick, insert field

In field dialog, after selec of your need properties, they will appear the field string, copy this string to a simple txt file if you and close the dialog.
Now, if all right you see the value of lastsave.
Do the same steps with all other information you want.
Rightclick, insert field, and the next..

Note: the copy step is only for you, if you want to store all fielddefinition for pasting later at other Textobject.
This step isn't needed to create field by field-dialog.

Im not sure if I am asking the wrong questions or if you dont understand what I am looking for.  I need the Diesel Programming variables to put together an output that will read like the attached PDF example.  see linestring at bottom left of drawing border.

You are using LT version in last company to? So you never used only copy&paste a dieselstring to your <whatever>.

It is possible to do that with RTEXT command, only in Fillversion.

In Full and LT versions it is also possible to add a Text, MText oder Attribut to your frame or directly in your layout,

use FIELD command (there you can choose betwenn DIESEL string and ready Properties like Filename, Date etc.).

But the simple way to show current path+name, date, time, user is to use PLOTSTAMP

Then you have nothing to do.

command Plotstamp open a setting dialog for plotstamp, in your pagesetup you can choose "use plotstamp",

try it!

command plotstamp, set properties for testing.

command plot, select 'use plotstamp', start your plot.

HTH?

I have used Plotstamp in the past but it is nort as versatile as the diesel line string. In previous companies I was using full blown AutoCad and would just copy the string of text from template to template and make any changes necessary for that project/client. Here we are using AutoCad LT 2019 so Im not sure what my limitations are with LT. I already found out I cannot use LISP so my standard CUI will need to be modified to not use LISP.

So start to check my first answer (post 2#) and beginn with creating fields/fieldcodes.

If you are using diesel expressions there or not, thats your choice.

I would say you dont have expierience(or?), so it should be easier to use the predefined options.

Start with a field for PATH+FILENAME, if it works you can come back and we talk again,

currently it seams you had never used Fields, also not in the last hour to test?

You wrote about that you only "copy and paste" one string to the border in the past,

thats sounds for me as you used field codes in the past and not plain diesel strings.
